Initial OneDrive Configuration

By default, OneDrive is installed on everyone's desktop computer.  However, there is some initial configuration that is required before you can begin using OneDrive.

If you need assistance completing the configuration, please contact the IT HelpDesk

Definitions:

  • OneDrive Desktop App - The OneDrive Desktop App is installed on your computer and will sync files saved to your computer to your OneDrive cloud folder.  This allows you to access your files offline.
  • OneDrive Web App - The OneDrive Web App is available in a web browser and allows you to save and access your files directly as long as you have internet access.  If you save a file using the OneDrive Web app and you have the OneDrive Desktop App configured, then the files you save directly in the OneDrive cloud will sync to your desktop. Otherwise, without the Desktop App, your files will only be in the cloud.
